Adalie and Admiral are actually getting older. I get excited at the thought of what our house will be like in another year. Adalie got a new bike for her birthday, and big kid bike (with training wheels of course). She is really getting good at riding it. Admiral then inherited her radio flyer trike (the smaller model). This was a great day for him, because all he really ever wanted to do was ride that bike, and they fought regularly over it.
They have been asking to ride over to the park 2 blocks away (OK elementary) but I didn't think that Admiral could ride that trike that far, and I would end up carrying it. So yesterday, I gave in to a 'trail run'. They rode to the end of the block. They did really well, and had a blast waving to all the neighbors and Addie would tell them 'this is my new bike and I know how to use the brakes'. LOL At the end, they were tired and ready to head back, so I am glad we didn't go all the way to the park. As I was walking with them, I was thinking 'this is what I thought being a parent would be like'.
