Last night we had Aaron's dad, step-mom, Uncle and Aunt over for dinner. We had grilled pork chops, bread, a new cherry tomato and olive salad, broccoli and mashed potatoes. We were supposed to have applesauce, but I forgot to serve it, and only realized it after I was cleaning up, and saw the bowl waiting in the microwave (trying to stay warm). Oh well, what do you do?
I also forgot that I left one chop on the grill to finish cooking. At 9:30 when they all left, I looked out the window - saw the grill, and thought - OH NO! I went out, and the chop was gone. All that was left was a tint bit of char on the rack. Not even a piece, or anything that was shaped like a chop. It was as if I had cooked burgers, and hadn't cleaned the grill. That was all. I was amazed. I thought it would be burned, but still there. I never thought it would be gone. I guess you learn something new everyday.
